Taught to the current American Heart Association guidelines, with hands-on practice on manikins:
You practice every skill in person, hands-on — because CPR is a physical skill, and practice is what makes it stick when it counts.

Pass the class and you earn an American Heart Association BLS Provider course completion card. It’s widely accepted by the hospitals, clinics, schools, staffing agencies, and licensing boards that require AHA BLS. You’ll get it as an AHA eCard, emailed within 24 hours of class (often sooner), valid two years. Renew before it expires so your certification never lapses.
Every class is taught in person by Kim Glenn, RN — an AHA-certified instructor with more than 30 years in healthcare who still works as a nurse today. She knows firsthand the renewal-deadline pressure healthcare staff face. Small groups, real questions answered, and she stays with you until you’re comfortable. Meet your instructor →

If your current BLS card hasn’t expired yet, book the renewal ($60, 2 hours) and bring your card. If you’re new to BLS or your card has already lapsed, book New/Expired ($70, 3 hours). Still unsure? Call or text 719-470-0308.
No. Once a card lapses, take the New/Expired class instead. The renewal rate is only for providers whose certification is still current.
Almost always BLS. Nursing, EMS, dental, and allied-health programs require the AHA BLS Provider course before clinical rotations. If your program specifically says HeartSaver, book that instead.
The $20 AHA BLS Provider Manual is added to your booking. Skim it beforehand if you can, but you don’t need to finish it first — everything is covered hands-on in class.
Yes, and it’s included. Hands-on skills practice and the required skills check happen during class — there’s no separate test appointment.
We bring BLS training to your hospital floor, clinic, or office — or host your group at our downtown classroom, scheduled around your shifts.
Live dates and checkout are on our classes page.
Not a healthcare provider? The HeartSaver class covers CPR, AED, and First Aid for everyone else.
