Who this class is for

BLS is the CPR course many healthcare employers, schools, and licensing boards require by name. This class is built for:

  • Nurses, CNAs, and nursing students
  • Physicians, PAs, and medical assistants
  • Dental staff and dental students
  • Respiratory, radiology, and other allied health professionals
  • EMTs, paramedics, and first responders
  • Students who need BLS before clinical rotations

If your job, your school, or your licensing board requires “AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers,” this is the class.

What’s covered

Taught to the current American Heart Association guidelines, with hands-on practice on manikins:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Using an AED (automated external defibrillator)
  • Rescue breathing, including with a mask
  • Working as a team and communicating clearly
  • Helping someone who’s choking, whether they’re awake or have passed out

You practice every skill in person, hands-on: CPR is a physical skill, and practice is what makes it stick when it counts.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the AHA “BLS for Healthcare Providers” course my employer requires?

Yes. This is the American Heart Association BLS Provider course, and you receive an AHA-issued eCard. It’s widely accepted by hospitals, clinics, schools, and licensing boards that require AHA BLS.

My BLS card already expired. Is this still the right class?

Yes. There is one BLS Provider class and it covers everyone: first-time providers, renewals, and cards that have already lapsed. Same class, same $60, whichever applies to you. Still unsure? Call or text 719-470-0308.

Do nursing or other healthcare students need BLS or Core CPR, AED & First Aid?

Almost always BLS. Nursing, EMS, dental, and allied-health programs require the AHA BLS Provider course before clinical rotations. If your program specifically says Core CPR, AED & First Aid, book that instead.

Do I need the workbook before class?

The AHA BLS Provider Manual is offered when you check out. Skim it beforehand if you can, but you don’t need to finish it first. Everything is covered hands-on in class.

Is there a skills test?

Yes, and it’s included. Hands-on skills practice and the required skills check happen during class. There’s no separate test appointment.
