What we do

CPR, BLS, and First Aid certification in Pueblo, Colorado

Small classes, hands-on practice, certifications accepted nationwide.

Nationally-certified instructors

Small, hands-on classes taught by Kim Glenn, RN, and Kyle Boyd, RN: both nationally-certified instructors with real healthcare experience.

Two core classes

Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers (new, renewal, or expired) and Core CPR, AED & First Aid for everyone else. Flat, visible pricing, accepted nationwide.

Who these classes are for

Healthcare providers

Nurses, CNAs, medical and dental staff, students, and first responders. Our BLS Provider classes cover new cards, renewals, and expired cards alike: whether yours lapsed last month or you're certifying for the first time, you're covered. Every BLS class earns a two-year AHA Provider card accepted nationwide.

Parents, teachers & community

Parents and grandparents, teachers, childcare and daycare staff, babysitters, coaches, and fitness instructors. Our Core CPR, AED & First Aid class teaches CPR, AED, and First Aid in plain language: no medical background needed. You'll leave knowing what to do, with a certification card to show for it.

Learn from nurses who still do this work

We started Rescue Ready Academy because Pueblo deserved an alternative to big-city pricing and crowded, impersonal classrooms. You learn in a small group on Main Street from Kim Glenn, RN, and Kyle Boyd, RN: both nationally-certified instructors with real healthcare experience. Kim has more than 30 years in healthcare and still works as a nurse today; Kyle spent 13 years in nursing, most recently in the ICU. We don't rush you through a video. We stay hands-on, answer your questions, and work with you until you're genuinely comfortable doing it yourself.

What you'll walk away with

  • A two-year certification, issued quickly and electronically, accepted nationwide
  • Real hands-on practice on manikins and an AED, not just a video and a quiz

73.4% of cardiac arrests happen at home.

When a heart stops outside a hospital, it most often happens in a home or residence, not a stadium or an office (American Heart Association). The person you're ready to save is most likely someone you love: a parent, a partner, a child, a neighbor. Help is usually minutes away. You can be ready now.

Common questions

How much do CPR and BLS classes cost?

Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider is $60, whether you’re certifying for the first time, renewing, or replacing a card that has already lapsed. Core CPR, AED & First Aid is also $60. Group and workplace pricing is available on request.

How long is my certification valid?

Course completion cards are valid for two years from the day they're issued. Plan to renew before your card expires so your certification never lapses.

Do I need to be a healthcare worker to take a class?

No. BLS is built for healthcare providers and professional rescuers, but our Core CPR, AED & First Aid class is open to everyone: parents, caregivers, teachers, coaches, and workplace teams. No medical background needed.
