Who ACLS is for
ACLS is for clinicians who lead or join a resuscitation team:
- Nurses in ICU, ED, telemetry, PACU and procedural areas
- Physicians, PAs and NPs
- Paramedics
- Respiratory therapists
- Dental and surgery-center staff working under a sedation permit
What ACLS covers
ACLS covers how to manage a cardiac arrest and the heart rhythms that lead to one. You also practice the first steps for a stroke or heart attack, airway management, and your role on the team. The class ends with the megacode, a simulated resuscitation where you lead the team.
What we’re planning
The class will be the AHA ACLS Provider course, taught hands-on to a small group in downtown Pueblo by working RNs. Students will earn an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card.
Dates and price aren’t set. The interest list is how we decide whether to run the class and when, so if you want it, join the list above.
Need BLS first?
ACLS students need a current BLS card. If yours has expired, or you don’t have one yet, see our BLS Provider classes →
Your instructors
Rescue Ready’s instructors are working nurses. We’ll say who teaches ACLS when a date is set.

Kim Glenn, RN
Owner & Instructor
Kim Glenn, RN, has spent more than 30 years in healthcare, and she’s still an actively practicing nurse in Pueblo today. As a nationally-certified instructor, she teaches CPR, BLS, and First Aid the way she’s relied on them in real life: hands-on, clear, and built to stick. She started Rescue Ready Academy so families and professionals across Pueblo can learn life-saving skills in small classes, close to home, from an instructor who still does this work herself.

Kyle Boyd, RN
Instructor & Business Manager
Kyle Boyd, RN, has spent 13 years in nursing, most recently in the ICU, and today consults with hospitals across the country. He's also a nationally-certified instructor at Rescue Ready Academy and runs the business side, keeping classes small, personal, and easy to book. That bedside experience keeps the academy focused on training that works under pressure, not just on paper.
Frequently asked questions
When will ACLS classes start?
No date is set. The class will be the AHA ACLS Provider course, and the interest list is how we decide whether to run it and when. When a date is set, everyone on the list gets one email.
Do I need BLS before ACLS?
Yes. ACLS students need a current BLS card. We teach BLS Provider classes in Pueblo if you need to get or renew yours.
Is this for first-time ACLS or renewal?
Either. The form asks which you need so we can plan around the people on the list. Pick "Not sure" if you don't know yet.
What happens after I join the list?
You get a short confirmation email. After that we email you once, when a date is set. Nothing else.
